Disturbing readings from one of Radiation Station Central’s HEPA filters after just 30 days of use: 308% of normal background higher. Alpha and beta radiation captured by the filter can be attributed to the triple Fukushima Japan meltdowns, melt-throughs and melt-outs and the decision to begin burning 550000 tons of radioactive debris in Tokyo from October to March, sending a double dose of radioactive fallout on the Jet Stream over the Pacific to land on America, Canada and beyond. Finding this high a level of radiation is considered dangerous by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Ingested alpha particles can be up to 1000 times more dangerous than their beta and gamma counterparts. Good video and nice job expaining throughout. Next time, however, you should poke around the sample a little bit to prove to the skeptics that there is no radioactive nickel source hidden in the sample you are testing. Essentially,
there’s nothing we can do, as I know I’m not going to walk around with a particle mask on wherever I go for the rest of my life. Just give me my maximum dose rate and leave the room…

@mistermoody2012 – It IS in the Northern Hemisphere. Question is whether it is in the Southern Hemisphere yet where it was thought that it wouldn’t spread for 1.5 to 2 years. “Was” is the operative word as another YouTuber from Australia has been detecting very high radiation readings that could be attributed to Fukushima as the most obvious source.

Did you take these kinds of readings before Fukushima? If not, they don’t prove it’s all from Fukushima. A lot of it could be from the Rockedyne accidents. A lot of it could be from all the other leaking nuclear facilities. They’re all rotting pieces of trash that routinely leak. In any case, the world is only getting more contaminated thanks to wonderfully cheap and limitlessly green nuclear technology.

Agreed EnviroReporter. The radioactive nickel source I was referring of was the confidence sample (which is usually nickel 63) that ensures the detection equipment is functioning properly. I’m sure that these samples you tested are what you say, and that we (U.S.) have been receiving daily increases of radiation from Fukushima. I live in Simi Valley, Ca. and work HazMat for USAF so I know, I know… Keep up the good work!
